I succumbed.
Truthfully, I didnât want to resist anymore, and I wasnât sorry I gave in. Iâd resisted until I couldnât quite remember why I was resisting in the first place.
The way heâd touched me by our bunks in Nashville had obliterated the rest of my defenses. Oh, Iâd tried to stay away. And Iâd succeeded all the way up the east coast. But when he came out to the lounge when we were parked in Pittsburgh, eyes flashing with anger, chest gleaming with droplets of water, I had to tease him, and then I had to have him. Not for a story to share with Melly. No, what happened on that bus was just for me.
I had no idea if Nick had a reputation of being a ladiesâ man, but damn. Just damn. He made every one of my past partners look like little boys. The man ate pussy like it was his job. Actually, more like a passion project. And that had been at an awkward angle in confined spaces. I had to know what he could do with a big bed and all the time in the world.
We wouldnât be staying at another hotel until we got to Chicago. We still had Ohio and Indiana to get through before my bedroom fantasies could come true. That wasâ¦if he wanted to. Which I thought he did. And if he wasnât sure, Iâd steal all his chocolate again.
Our...thing might have had an expiration date, but now that Iâd had a taste, I was definitely going back for seconds.
I spent most of our day in Ohio dealing with a massive merch shipment. Thereâd been a mix-up and weâd gotten tons of extra-smalls, but no extra-larges. So, Iâd been on the phone all morning with our supplier, expediting the correct order after getting the runaround. Not my most fun day, especially when I would have liked to be flirt-slash-fighting with Nick instead.
Not that he wasnât busy himself. I was still in charge of the bandâs schedule with Tali being gone a few more days, so I knew they were at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for a press event, then they had a fan meet and greet back at the stadium, followed by their nightly performance. He probably wouldnât be back to the bus until I was in bed for the night.
We were pretty much always surrounded by nosy ass men anyway. We hadnât had much of a conversation after weâd had sex, but I was all for keeping this on the down low. I really didnât need David all up in my business. Jasper would have been polite about it, Ian would have ignored it, but Davidâ¦oh David. Heâd poke and prod relentlessly, and the only one I wanted poking me relentlessly was Nick.
I finally had a moment to breathe and eat a little after three. Lucky for me, I was able to scrounge up a sandwich at catering, and I settled under the tent outside the bus with my laptop and my lunch.
